ANGEL (Airline Networks Generation Emphasizing Layers)
Description: Generating synthetic models for air transportation networks is a difficult and current endeavor. We present a novel approach to create synthetic networks based on a hub-spoke structure that closely matches the properties of air carrier networks from the European Air Transportation Network.
You are welcome to use our algorithm's code (use the README) to support the methodology below on our European Airlines data that we orginially obtained from complex.unizar.es/~atnmultiplex/ (we plan on extending it for the US Airlines data).
