NIC Facility - Naval Innovation Center
Accelerating Ideas to Impact
The NIC is a future facility and a Naval capability designed for accelerating innovation. To be located at the ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø (NPS) near Silicon Valley, the NIC will leverage NPS’ operationally experienced students, defense-expert faculty, the Naval Research & Development Establishment (NR&DE), academic research partners, and Fleet engagement to develop technology solutions with industry at greater speed and scale.
Features purposefully designed, multi-disciplinary laboratories and collaboration spaces.
Creates spaces designed for high performing interdisciplinary teams to curate, ideate, prototype, experiment, and transition cutting-edge processes and technologies.
Lowers barriers for emerging technology companies, industry, academia, and researchers to collaborate with the Fleet/DOD on solving real-world problems in a DevOps environment with the warfighter.
