Dr. Alan Van Nevel is the acting vice provost for research and innovation for the ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø. In this role he assists with the administration of research activities at NPS, with the goal of accelerating the development of new technology to impact warfare concepts and capabilities.

Kaitie Penry is the inaugural Director of Research Innovation at the ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø. In this role, she oversees the development of NPS’ enterprise innovation process and prototyping portfolio, supporting the Secretary of the Navy’s initiative to establish the Naval Innovation Center at NPS.
