Photos - Experience Tour

Students visited the Naval Satcom Adversary Team and 527th Space Aggressor Squadron at Schriever Space Force Base. These units know, teach and replicate a wide array of terrestrial and space threats to space-based and space-enabled systems during training exercises to better prepare warfighters for competition and conflict in the electromagnetic spectrum.

Students received a mission brief from the National Space Defense Center. NSDC develops and improves the U.S.’s ability to rapidly detect, warn, characterize, attribute and defend against threats to our nation's vital space systems.

Students toured a Sierra Space manufacturing facility in Louisville, Colorado, gaining a close-up view of the Dream Chaser space plane and Large Integrated Flexible Environment habitat. Pictured is the Dream Chaser, the first winged commercial space plane designed to deliver and return humans and cargo to low earth orbit.

Thesis

A graduate thesis is a requirement for all students in the Space Systems curricula. The SSO thesis guide provides instructions in the research and writing of the master's thesis and outlines the specific steps necessary to successfully complete a thesis of high quality.

A range of thesis research topics is available from the faculty of the SSAG.

For students in the Space Systems Engineering program, consult with the department that is awarding the degree for specific thesis guidance.
