Who should attend
September graduates are required to attend the brief in person or via Zoom webinar, download the handouts, and enter an attendance code into their thesis/dissertation dashboard. December 2025 PhD candidates will also qualify for an attendance code. Future graduates are encouraged to attend. Because procedures can vary from quarter to quarter, students must attend a brief during the quarter in which they graduate.
Unable to attend?
A recording of the brief will be available on this page approximately 3 business days after the last session. You will need to communicate with your ed tech (not TPO), to confirm attendance and receive an attendance code.
Attendance codes
In-person attendees will receive an attendance code at the brief. Qualified virtual attendees will be emailed a code approximately 3 business days after the last brief. Qualified attendees are September graduates, December 2025 PhD candidates, and extension students. Codes will not work for any other students. Students must enter their code into their thesis dashboard in order to advance the dashboard to the next step (for multi-author papers, only one team member needs to enter a code).
