Meyer Scholar Seminar
This seminar will discuss the integration of 1) the new SPY-6 air defense radar, and 2) the new AEGIS Baseline 10 Combat System, which leverages SPY-6 to detect, control, and engage all airborne threats to surface ships. If you are interested in learning more about the premier surface warfare system responsible for keeping our ships safe in the Red Sea and how it is improving, you won’t want to miss this opportunity.
Presented by Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory and PEO Integrated Warfare Systems, these two entities are at the leading edge of developing and testing upgrades to the AEGIS Combat System (the Navy’s integrated command-and-control and weapons system, found on all U.S. destroyers).
From Lab to Launch: NPS Reverse Pitch Event
Register:
ϳԹ technologists will showcase cutting-edge dual-use technologies available for licensing. NPS innovators will present breakthrough solutions in space, autonomy, and sustainment, offering industry partners and entrepreneurs the chance to spin out federally developed technologies into commercial success. There will be opportunities to meet and speak with organizations like the NPS Office of Research and Innovation, NavalX Central Coast Tech Bridge, TechLink and more. To learn about the inventors and their licensable tech, contact comms@npsfoundation.org.
This event is geared toward Corporate R&D offices, Industry Innovation Managers, Startups, VCs and Corporate Investors. Campus access support will be provided.
NPS Emerging Tech Showcase & Student Thesis Fair
Bringing together NPS students and faculty with industry to enable collaboration and drive impact!

> CONNECT with students, faculty and industry.
> EXPLORE collaboration that drives impact.
Join the for the “Operationalizing AI: Responding to Key Operational Challenges” panel discussion with leaders from NVIDIA, Dell, Saronic and Anduril at 12 p.m. on the Quarterdeck. Then check out demos and displays by fellow students, NPS organizations and companies ranging from big tech to defense primes and defense startups at the Showcase & Thesis Fair from 1 to 4:30 p.m. in the Ballroom. Discover opportunities to collaborate on research or explore partnerships with industry.
This event is open to students, faculty and staff, as well as local alumni and industry with campus access.
Ordnance and Ballistics Technology Working Group (SECRET/NOFORN)
POC: Joseph Hooper, NPS Physics Dept
The symposium is classified at the SECRET/NOFORN level and is limited to the following agencies: DoD, DoD contractors, DoE, FBI, CIA, and DHS.
This meeting is one of the primary venues for discussing advances in ballistics and weapons design with a classified setting in the DoD community.
JIFX 25-4: Human Machine Integration
The JIFX team leads experimentation in alternative methods to enable rapid technological development by cultivating a community of interest and hosting broadly scoped quarterly collaborative field events that enable DOD, U.S. government, and allied stakeholders to identify, influence, and accelerate early-stage technology development that address national and collective security challenges.
The JIFX program exists to provide an opportunity for NPS faculty, students, private companies, and academia to demonstrate and evaluate new technologies related to the Department of the Navy and the Department of Defense research in an operational field environment, and also to provide the operational community the opportunity to experiment with these technologies to better understand the capabilities that they may represent.
Summer Quarter Awards Ceremony
Warfare Innovation Continuum (WIC) Workshop: THE FUTURE FLEET
With one overarching design challenge, ten teams of junior officers and early career engineers will be facilitated through a rapid concept generation process using tools of warfighter-centered design. Each team will present their best concepts on the final morning of the workshop, and these seeds of ideas will inform class projects, thesis work, and research across the NPS campus throughout FY26.
Topics of interest within this year’s challenge include Allies & Partners, Artificial Intelligence, C-C5ISRT, Future Hybrid Fleet, IFCs, Joint C2, Long Range Targeting & Fires, Maritime Industrial Base, Maritime Space, MOC Ops, Sea Control, Seabed Warfare, and Sustainment.
Registration will open SOON and will be linked on the NWSI website - check back!!
