Dexter J. Kennedy
Project Manager (Academic Initiatives)
 

Dexter Kennedy is a former U.S. Army officer who honorably served 11 years on active duty as an Armor Officer, Signal Officer, Army Recruiter, and Foreign Area Officer.

He earned his commission through the Tiger Battalion at Jackson State University, a Historically Black College and University (HBCU), and holds a bachelor鈥檚 degree in Political Science and a master鈥檚 degree in Information Technology Management from Webster University.

He also holds a second master鈥檚 degree in Urban Planning from San Jose State University. Mr. Kennedy first came to NPS in 2020, working in the Financial Management Directorate as the Administrative Officer for the Comptroller, and later became the Supervisory Admin Officer and International Military Student Officer for the Defense Resources Management Institute (DRMI). He moved to the NPS Provost鈥檚 office in 2023. He currently serves as the Project Manager (Academic Initiatives).
