A MESSAGE FROM THE CHAIR, DR. OLEG YAKIMENKO

Welcome to the Systems Engineering (SE) Department. Please explore our website to learn about the exciting educational and research programs we have to offer. Our main focus is on the resident and non-resident (distance learning) Master's and Doctoral degree programs in Systems Engineering. We also offer Master's degrees in Systems Engineering Analysis, Engineering Systems, Systems Engineering Management, and Systems and Defense Management, as well as a variety of stackable four-course certificates. Our faculty and graduate students conduct a variety of research in four broad areas: Systems Engineering Methodology, Systems Engineering Applications, System Simulation and Modeling, and System Suitability Assessment. This includes modern and advanced technology systems and system-of-systems architecting, analysis and prototyping; digital and model-based systems engineering design and development; capability and mission engineering; manned and unmanned combat systems engineering and integration; modeling and simulation in acquisition including development of tools for modeling and reasoning about system and process behaviors; strategic multidisciplinary studies for the DoD. We are nationally ranked by the U.S. News and recognized for the quality of our programs. Read more about our programs.
