  2. Chapters are

    • free of track changes and balloon comments
  3. A proofread list of references, reflecting sources cited in your text. Use the .
  4. File is named 25Sep_LastName_FirstName. Follow this capitalization guidance.
    • If more than one author, file name is 25Sep_LastName1_FirstName1_LastName2_LastName3
    • If SE capstone, file is named using the last name of the first-listed author (by alphabet) on the cover page followed by "et al": 25Sep_FirstAuthorLastName_FirstAuthorFirstName et al.
  5. Draft uploaded to thesis SharePoint site (or Box, if thesis is export controlled). If classified or CHDS, see our file-sharing page for more information on how you will share your files.
  6. LaTeX users: Always download the most current LaTeX template from our website. Never use someone else's template, including your advisor's. Upload your most recent project .zip file to your filesharing site and use the same naming convention as all other files: YYMmm_Last_First.zip. Remember that the PDF output needs to be present on your filesharing site as well.

We are currently closed to new submissions. Please come back 21 July.

  • What will we look for? See Common Errors: Things We Mark—You Fix.
  • CHDS students with an editor are excused from the Initial Review requirement and from using SharePoint. However, they still need an iThenticate review of their Initial Draft.
