Math Acceleration Lab!

Led by experienced and dedicated 2nd year math students, studying for their Masters or PhD degrees, the Math Acceleration Lab provides students with personalized conversations & targeted support. We believe that every student has a unique learning style and pace, and our team is committed to tailoring the interactions with the learners to meet each of their individual needs. Through visualization and manipulation of mathematical expressions, students can deepen their understanding of complex calculus principles while engaging with our advanced students who are preparing for their upcoming teaching assignment at USNA, USMA or NPS.  We believe in the importance of breaking down complicated concepts into manageable parts and ensuring that students feel confident before moving on to more advanced topics.

Our lab is open Mon-Fri during lunch, and Mon-Thu @3pm in Spanagel 263. We invite students who are looking to gain a deeper understanding of calculus knowledge in the MA1113, MA1114, MA1115, and MA1116 courses, to come visit the Math Acceleration Lab to receive unmatched support aimed at advancing each individual's calculus skills. Don’t take our word for it, come and see it yourself today!

Mission

Focused on learners' deeper understanding of calculus concepts, we create an environment where NPS students increase their problem-solving skills and build confidence in their mathematical abilities.

For questions and suggestions, please email Prof. Ralucca Gera.  To set up 1-1 meetings, please email the Lab coordinator, CPT Carl Springfels.  Special thank you to CPT Dinkel, CDR Singh, CDR James, and CPT Springfels for running the lab!
