What is the Learning Experience?

...

Formal learning provides students with a structured learning experience, where the instructor serves as a guide, imparting knowledge and expertise in a classroom environment that facilitates active participation, engagement, and clarification of concepts.

...

Independent learning provides an opportunity for self-directed learning, empowering students to take ownership of their learning process, finding solutions at their own pace by working through problems independently to arrive at a deeper understanding of mathematical concepts.

...

Collaborative learning fosters a dynamic culture, where students work in groups, bouncing ideas around, expressing their thoughts, challenging, and learning from each other. The collaborative learning environment encourages peer-to-peer learning that promotes mutual benefits by deepening the understanding of the concepts by explaining them to  others.

STUDENT FEEDBACK

"The Math Boost Camp was the best introduction to NPS that I could have hoped for. Professor Stanica's analogy of algebra as a perishable skill was spot on. This boost Camp allowed me to knock the rust off and feel more comfortable going into my Calculus course. Without it, I would be incredibly nervous going back into advanced mathematics.

"I thought the material was timely, relevant, and well crafted to set us up for success."
